RP Sample Thread

Hello, everyone! From now on, we're establishing a new rule for new members. To have your account activated, you must submit an RP SAMPLE in this thread.

PLEASE NOTE: Don't let this discourage you! The only reason we ask for RP samples is to make sure that new members stay active on the forum! We have had a history of characters applying and then leaving, so in an effort to keep the forum active, we just ask for a RP sample to make sure you are committed to stay!

We accept newbies to RPing, so please, do not let the RP sample scare you! All we need is a paragraph. Or more, if you so choose. About anything you want!

Character Name: Feliciano Vargas/Italy
RP Sample: Fettuccine, lasagna, spaghetti, penne, gnocchi, linguini, tortellini. If it was pasta related, then the Italian was sure to be all over it!

"Ve~ What should I eat today?" Feliciano looked through his extensive pasta "collection," humming to himself as he debated on what pasta to eat today. It was almost three o'clock; siesta time was quickly approaching and he was already feeling sleepy. The Italian bounced on his toes, reaching for the penne...and ended up creating a landslide of pasta; bags, boxes, and containers crashing down on top of him. "G-Gyah!"


See? Simple as that. Once a mod sees and approves of your RP sample, we will confirm it with you in this thread and activate your account. Then you can start right up and enjoy your time in The World Belongs to Us!

Character Name: Lily Jansen
RP Sample: As was her habit when the summer had come, Lily had decided to stroll around the garden, sniffing the flowers, and cutting them to bring them home with her. Roses, daisies, sunflowers, and many more were in her hands, bright and cheery. She skipped about and decided that she had picked enough for now. But would her brother like them? Lily examined the flowers carefully, making sure that they were all perfect, absolutely perfect. Anything less would make her seem ungrateful, she thought.

"Brother! Big brother~" she cried, looking for Vash. Where was he?
[Short, I know, but I made it up on the spot.]

Character Name: Raivis Galante/Latvia
RP Sample:

The Latvian himself was near tears. Once again. It wasn't like it wasn't anything new at all--no, not even close, but it was for a good reason this time, at least in his perspective. He wasn't injured or anything of the sort, just....very afraid, of someone in paticular he was going to have to come in contact again with soon. Very soon.

He wanted to delay it as much as possible, but he knew that eventually the time would have to come where he would face him again, and he grimaced a the thought, salty tears spilling over pale cheeks with a silent inwards sob. It seemed impossible to get out of, but maybe one day it would end, right? Just focus on that.

Tears never really did seem to stop, did they?

However, all the small, timid nation could do was await it, clasping his hand together and just trying to think happy thoughts, yes, focus on those while he still had time. Like going to see Peter again another time, or...something like that. Perhaps he had forgotten the true meaning of happiness by now. Sniffling, he just twiddled his thumbs, eyes wide with tears raining out of them, brow furrowed as he felt his hearbeat quicken, already knowing full well what to anticipate.

Character Name: Kiet // Thailand
RP Sample:
Despite the fact that he had left his home hours earlier than he should to arrive on time to his appointment, Kiet had made himself late for it. It wasn't that he was lost or didn't remember where he was supposed to meet his friend, Kiet had just gotten "distracted" along the path he had taken. Being the kind hearted person that he was, Kiet couldn't help himself at giving complete strangers assistance when needed.

Finally able to pull himself away from the various distractions that kept Kiet away from the reason why he even left his house in the first place, he had finally was able to reach his appointed designation and had found that no one was there. After scanning the nearly deserted clearing did Kiet decide to make a quick scan of did he give a quick glance to his wrist watch and realize why he at the time. According to his watch, he had shown up 5 hours later than Kiet had said that he'll would arrive. Sighing in a deep sigh of disappointment as he seated himself onto a nearby bench, he hope that his friend would forgive for showing up as Kiet decided to enjoy the cool breeze that blew through the now empty park.

Character name: Amélie Van Aalten/Belgium
RP sample:

Amélie sighed as she tried to rub away the ache in her head. Her brother's tourists were so loud! She wished that they'd at least spend some money since their loud voices tend to scare off the other tourists who actually spend their Euros.

"Nederlanders zitte op hun geld!" she scowled.
While it was true that they sat on their money, it didn't change the fact that they were her brother's people. Every time she'd get an ear full of screaming Dutchman, she'd be reminded of how her brother would yell in her ear when they were kids. With anyone else, it would've earned them a slap on the face, but with her brother it was... almost endearing. He was family and that would never change.

Amélie smiled and pushed her way through the streets. With her spirits now lifted, she decided to head down towards the small bar on the corner of the market street. With a mouth craving a very familiar Belgian beer, Amélie made a goal to drink until she could get even louder than any of those Dutch tourists.

Character Name: Tran Thanh Kieu Trang/Vietnam
RP Sample:

Trang made her way through the crowd of people to the garden outside the party hall. She's not much of a party person, and she's not used to wearing "party clothes" that Wan had prepared, but this time, she couldn't help but gave in to Wan's "just once more"… yet again.
However, something was not right…
Normally, Wan would eagerly wait for her at the front gate. Nevertheless, this time, neither at the front gate nor inside the hall could Wan be found. Trang sighed and glanced around the large garden with the last hope of finding her friend… and there she was, standing under a big pine tree looking at the ground.
Suddenly, a dark figure with both hands raising popped up from the bush behind Wan. Reaching down towards her feet, Trang locked her gaze on the figure approaching her friend clearly out of evil intention. She dashed across the garden at full speed and arrived just in time to land slashes across the supposed head of the target… using her high heels.
"Luckily, I wear high heels this time. You really have to be more careful, Wan. You know, you don't need a full-fledged weapon to strike your enemy down." – said Trang with a surprisingly calm voice.
"O…Kay. Uhm… I think he has learnt that dearly already…" – Wan pointed at the figure lying flatly on the ground.

Character name: Melinda Bonnefoy//Seychelles

Seychelles was sitting. . .Or rather standing in her kitchen, smiling as usual while looking at the stove. Sure, she wasn't at all that great with cooking; but it could be worth a shot, right? She was going to experiment with making mashed potatoes.

After putting the flakes and such into the boiling water. She decided to go look out the window and gaze at the sea for a while. . . That is until she heard something come from the stove. Was it popping? She absolutely had no clue. Frantically she makes her way over; stumbling occasionally. And then. . .

. . .She looks at the mashed potatoes, which was starting to make a giant bubble in the pot. ". . .O-Oh gosh!" She tries to find something to keep it from exploding and messing up the whole kitchen! She rushes over to find a lid. Once she finds one, not checking to see if it even fit; she slams the lid down on top of the pot, right before the food item exploded on her.

Gwen mashed the herbs she had collected that day together, muttering a small rant to herself, she did this daily, she ranted about how stupid her siblings were, and how stupid they made her look.

"I really need to stop getting so angry at them" She sighed, placing the bowl of herbs on the counter, "I can't change their stupidity" she could smell the soup she was making boiling, tipping the herbs in, she smiled "This is perfect!"

She knew she wasn't the best cook in the world, but she knew she was better then her siblings like England and Scotland, if only she could show the world that, unfortunately, she always messed up when people were around. "Leek and Potato soup everyone! Enjoy!"

[Ugh~ Hope it's good enough]

Holland jumped up from the couch as the ball slipped right past the goalie into the net. His pipe nearly slipped from his lips. They had just lost... THE WORLD CUP?! "OFFSIDES!" He yelled in protest, stomping his feet on the ground and making enough noise to probably wake up the neighbors.... and the neighbors next to the neighbors. "THAT WAS FUCKING OFFSIDES REF!" He threw the remote at the television angrily before storming outside, pulling every offensive world that he knew from his brain and yelling it loudly in his own native tongue. Without a second thought, he removed his pipe and pulled a joint from his pocket, lighting up and trying to relax. Next time he saw that Spain bastard, he was going to punch him so hard he'd forget he even won the stupid World Cup.

Character Name: Arthur Kirkland

Arthur grunted as his alarm clock went off. He immediately gripped his head. "Bloody hurts." He groaned as he turned the damn thing off. Rolling out of bed slowly which resulted hitting his head against the wall. Crying out in pain as he stumbled towards the kitchen and poured himself a glass water.

He rubbed his forehead. Bloody hangover. Arthur new very well that he couldn't handle his alcohol, but yet he was to stubborn to admit it. His stubborness always resulted in regretting it in the morning. He tried to remember what had happened last night.

It was someone's party. He didn't even know whose and didn't even care. There apperently had been alcohol. And he had drunk it. Probably got drunk. He could only hope he had not done something stupid. Soon it was proven other wise as his phone rang and he got a text message "Nice legs, Artie" He regretted the other day right away when he saw a picture of himself dancing naked on a table. He burried his face in his hands and cried out in shame.

Kiku sighed as he slid the door shut. Finally back home. Pochi was at his heels waiting to be greeted, so he did so. "I've returned," he told the dog. Then he removed his shoes.

He was exhausted. Why did he let the young countries drag him around so much? Especially America. So much energy.

Too much energy, really. Kiku should really just refuse the next time he is asked out. The problem was, things always seemed to have a way of being turned around on him when he tried.

Another sigh escaped him and he went to make some tea.

Snip, snip, snip.

Trim, trim, trim.

Intent to impress the young Principality of Wy, the Principality of Seborga, Luciano Vargas, busied himself tending to her garden. Sure, it was pretty, but it was no match for the beauty of his own. His garden had been attracting more and more tourists every year, not to mention his gardening expertise produced only the greatest olives in Italy…even if big brother Lovino disagreed.

‘Perhaps-a…’ He thought as he snuck into her country for a second time. ‘If her garden is prettier, everyone else will-a recognize her as an independent state as well.’ He put down his sheers wiped the sweat off of his brow. “Aaah, it’s almost time-a for a siesta~”

“What are you doing here again?!” Luciano’s eyes widened and he quickly turned around. Wy was standing there looking distinctly displeased. Luciano simply grinned.

“If it isn’t my cute little Wy!” He said enthusiastically. “Look, do you see? I made-a your ugly garden much prettier.”

“Ugly?!” Wy exclaimed.

“Now you’ll get-a more tourists to your tiny country.”

“TINY?!”

“Ehehehe,” Luciano laughed. “And-a that-a means you’ll be recognized!”

“I’ve already been recognized.” Wy insisted again.

“Remember, first impressions are very important.”

Berwald was fatigued. It was one thing to win a single war, but a whole different matter when they came from all sides. He could see this whole affair rapidly turn around to be against him, and offensive would have to quickly change to defensive. From the start - when the battle of Narva ended with a spectacular victory and it seemed as though Swedish morale would push them past this, Berwald was skeptical. When he spoke to Charles, every response was curt and young and naive. Petty humans and their wars.

"Sverige - A prussian force is advancing."

Sweden gazed at the colonel, Stenbock, and pursed his lips. He was an amazing military tactician, he could give that – but the Swede disapproved of his tendency to drive headfast into a battle. The thin line between their victory and defeat was growing thinner.

“As you please. I’ll be right with yer.”

He bore the seemingly inevitable upcoming battle with a bitter grimace. A nation couldn’t die – all the carnage and blood on the battlefield, there was never that fear that seemed to be a driving force to the soldiers. And as for the nations who lusted for this.... Berwald didn't understand at all. Even back in the viking days, it was always Denmark who strove to expand further, more wider than ever before, and he would map, and calculate their conquests --- but too much nostalgia never helped. The days of the viking days were long over.

He stood in one fluid motion, his saber swathed underneath his cloak - no longer stained with blood.
