Nekolis stood up and smiled. "Oh no, Mr. Adam. I think you look amazing. Like a warrior in a book. Its so....interesting. If your story matches your outfit, then it will truly be a wonderful gathering. Far better than mine. Many I borrowed from Nana and Heracles. I am jealous." he blushed, looking at his feet.

Yeosin smiled. So it was traditional clothing? It really must be very warm in Australia for him not to freeze in just that.

"Are those teeth, Adam-nim? And that paint, what significance does it hold?"

Yeosin's curiosity was sparked, but she didn't want to stare too much. The man was half-naked! And it would be rude to stare, yet she found herself doing just that. She felt movement next to her and noticed Silbeo had sat up. He was observing the man and his animals through glinting eyes. Yeosin gently stroked her friend's back, but her gaze shifted back to Adam. Soon, both empress and wolf were staring unabashedly.

"It's fine, Banjora-kun," Kiku told Adam, but for himself, tried to figure out where he should look.

He waited to her the answers to Yeosin's questions.

Adam fingered his necklace. It was just jewellery, it didn't really hold an significance. "Uh they are croc's teeth " He grinned sheepishly. "And the paint, well, Its just ritual painting, like for a ceremony".

He regarded the rest of his outfit. He wore bands around his feet, with feathers attached, and feathers in his hair. He also completely forgot about the myriad of ritual scars that marred his body as well as the burns and war scars he usually hid. He blushed.

"...You are very well built," Yeosin said after a moment. Her eyes trailed over the scars before meeting his eyes. "We all have them."

Curiosity satisfied, she went back to eating her pear, offering a piece to Silbeo. Adam's outfit was very different from anything she or her people wore, but that is what made it so interesting. Perhaps it had something to do with his story today. She found herself looking forward to his tale as well.

He then sat down with the others with his didgeridoo and his animals etc, of course with some food to satisfy is growing appetite.

Helena smiled at the interaction going on between her guests. She was extremely glad that everyone was getting along. A small 'meow' made her look towards the kitchen and saw her white cat, Circe, come out. However, she was being carried by the gray wolf she had mentioned earlier to Yeosin and smiled a little. Since she had arrived, the wolf, which she named Artemis, was recovering from her injured hind leg and being quite protective of the pregnant feline. Maybe she was a mother herself and had wolf pups. Whatever the reaosn, Helena was delighted that the two got along, as well as her other cat.

Helena's black male cat, Minos, came out walking along side the female wolf, looking at his mate lying on the back of the injured animal. She chuckled a little at the sight. He likes making sure that she's doing well, she thought. When the wolf stop by Helena, Circe jumped off of Artemis, and rubbed against her owner, purring loudly. Helena scratched and petted the white feline before Circe decided to visit Nekolis and rub up against him. Minos trailed after his pregnant partner.

The wolf, Artemis, went right up to Helena, and pushed at her hand a little. Helena grinned, kneeled down and petted Artemis. After a little, Artemis saw Silbeo and went over to him, and laid down in front of him. Helena chuckled as she observed this. This may be interesting, she thought.

Adam decided it had been good not to mention that when he was in full traditonal attire , he didnt wear pants.....

He glanced up as the two animals strolled into the room and smiled. He adored all sorts of animals. He even knew how to tame or coax an animal to him. His native elders had told him that it was the art of singing that did this. He sang the animals too him.

totally didnt get that last part from the Australia movie >> Even though singing is an important part of the culture.

Yeosin looked up and observed the three animals that entered the room. It was an adorable sight. She felt Silbeo shift slightly, raising his head to watch the parade. He watched as the female wolf came and lay in front of him. Lowering his head again, he sniffed before nudging her injured leg. Yeosin knew that look.

She smirked. Oh yes, the two would get along just fine.

Turning her attention elsewhere, she watched as Adam sang to Helena's cats. He certainly had a way with animals.

Nekolis loved cats. That was apparent. He smiled brightly when the pregnant Circe approached him. "Mama Circe. I cannot wait to see your kittens. I know they will be beautiful and with Minos as a dad, they'll be brave too." He pet her gently.

Adam's song called to the cats, slowly they approached him. He grinned again. This nation had a way with animals and people.

"Mr. Adam, whats the name of that song? Its really wonderful."

"Uh... It doesn't have a name" Blushes again and huggles one of the cats. "Most songs don't. Songs, music and dance are really important in aboriginal culture. Why they even have song-lines. You can sing your way home or anywhere no matter how far , you dont need a map " He smiled.

Kiku smiled as the animals came in. A couple of cats and an injured but nice looking wolf. And it seemed they all had names...so Heracles's mother must have been better about that sort of thing.

The wolf came over and laid with the other wolf between Yeosin and himself. He saw Yeosin smirk at their interaction. He wondered what that meant.

Then he watched as Adam coaxed the cats over with song and listened to his words about music.

"That's amazing, Banjora-kun!" Kiku told him.

Artemis looked at Silbeo when he nudged her and bark a little in her way of saying, "My leg is fine." When Adam had started singing, Circe and Minos meowed for a few minutes, enjoying the Austrailian's singing. Artemis listen until it was over then howled in an alto voice for approval of the song. When she was done howling, Artemis got up and went into another room for a few minutes.

When she came back, she was carrying some buffalo rawhide in her mouth. She smacked it down in front of Silbeo, shaking it around a little. A playful glint lit up her golden eyes.

Artemis wants Silbeo to play a game with her. How cute, Helena thought, grinning. She then looked over to Adam and smiled. "That was a nice song, Adam. Your people kow how to make the animals happy," she said.

Post by Lily / Liechtenstein Sat Nov 20, 2010 10:42 am

“I heard Helena is holding a myth-telling event at her house”

Just one sentence of her Bruder had totally made her day. Lily had always been fond of ancient Greek tales. The endless stories about the gods and goddesses, the heroes and villains had captivated her whole heart and soul everytime she listened to them. Therefore she did not waste anytime asking for her Bruder’s permission and hurriedly making her way towards Helena’s home.

However, on her way, Lily was somewhat worried. Her Bruder said that it was a myth-telling event. So obviously you had to tell some myths to others as well. Was it okay for her just to sit there and listen? Would Helena be upset at her and refuse to let her join the event?

Lost in thoughts, Lily did not notice that she had already reached the destination until she stumbled over a rock and almost lost her balance. Luckily, she did not land flat on the ground. Lily quickly stood up and wiped the dust off her clothes. Looking around one more time to make sure she was in the right place, Lily nervously stepped onto the porch and knocked the door.

Is it okay for me to join you guys?

Yeosin let out a soft chuckle. Artemis had gotten up and brought over a piece of buffalo rawhide and was shaking it a bit in front of Silbeo. She wanted to play. Looking down out of the corner of her eye, Yeosin could tell Silbeo was humored by this turn of events. He watched Artemis shake the rawhide for a moment before grabbing the corner. He and Artemis tugged back and forth for a bit before Silbeo gave it a particularly strong yank. The force caused Artemis to lurch forward a bit, smacking into Silbeo, who merely forced her to lay down, snuggling close and resting his head on her back as if t keep her there. If the wolfish grin was any indication, he was enjoying himself.

Yeosin smirked. "I am sure she is quite capable of taking care of herself, Silbeo," she said, recognizing his actions for what they were.

He just sent her a stare.

"Ah, well, I suppose we wouldn't want her to strain her leg, but she knows her limits, would you not agree?"

He just snorted as though to say women never knew their own limits.

"I take offense to that, Silbeo."

Frowning playfully, she turned to face the rest of the group. She was about to ask who was to start when she heard a knock at the door.

Post by Helena/ Ancient Greece Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:49 am

Helena watched the scene between Artemis and Silbeo unfold, their game of tug-of-war ending as soon as it began. Helena giggled a little when Artemis was held down on her back by Silbeo's head. Artemis, on the other hand, made a noise in the back of her throat that said to Silbeo, "I don't like being held down when there's no reason for it." However, she made no indication that she'd move Silbeo off of her. For the moment, that is. Just as I thought. Artemis seems like she's an alpha female, Helena thought.

After she heard the conversation between Yeosin and Silbeo, Helena chuckled again. it was rather funny of what they were talking about. She was about to speak when she heard the knock at the door. The ancient Graecian lady headed over to her front door and opened it to see young Liechtenstein. She smiled at the girl.

"Hello. You're Lily, correct? I've heard about you and your brother, Vash. It's nice to finally meet you," Helena said warmly.

Come and join, Lily. I certainly don't mind at all. Smile

Nekolis had to admit he was a little jealous of the animals. He wanted to rub the pregnant cat's stomach, hoping to feel the kittens moving inside. He hoped Heracles would let him adopt one of them. He'd have to ask.

He watched his grandmother answer the door and saw the nation standing there. Lily? He had seen her at meetings but never like this. He fidgeted with his drink, wondering if he should say hi.

Story Time (for anyone who wants to tell myths) - Page 2 Empty Re: Story Time (for anyone who wants to tell myths)

    Post by Trang/Vietnam Tue Nov 23, 2010 9:13 pm

"Oh my, I didn't think it would take this long!" Trang lifted her traditional long dress slightly and hurried down the windy road. She had left the house early, hoping she would be the first to arrive. However, the kind-hearted girl ended up helping a lost boy find his mother on the way without paying attention to the time. When she checked the clock, it was so late already...

Everyone should have gathered, and perhaps they had started telling stories already! Trang tried to run faster at the thought struck her. Since it was a formal occasion for telling myths, Trang had chosen the traditional dress in ancient time. A long outer tunic which splits into two flaps in the front was worn over an ancient bodice. Silk sashes were tied at the waist and a long skirt which almost reaches the floor completed the garment called "Áo tứ thân". The loose part of the sashes and flaps were flapping in the breeze as she rushed to Helena's mansion.

Trang saw Lily and Helena standing in front of the place. It seemed Lily had reached the mansion not long before her. When she reached the door, Trang bowed promptly.

    "I-I'm terribly sorry I'm late!"

I am late TT.TT Not just IC then... xD

About the traditional dress, here is a picture, traditionally in dark color... there are colorful ones too

Well, sometimes, the front flaps are tied like this, or there is crossing collar tying to the right like this, but I prefer leaving them dangling ^^

The door was opened right after her knock. Lily gasped at the figure appeared in front of her. There by the door stood a breathtaking gorgerous woman. Lily had heard that Helena was a stunning beauty, but such was beyond her imagination. Lily graciously bowed down with a deep blush on her cheeks

"Hello Helena! It is such a great pleasure to finally meet you. I was told that you are sharing your enchanting myths so I hope you would not mind my being here. I kind of has a keen ear for ancient mythology"

She was suddenly interrupted by another nation's arrival. It was Trang. Lily hardly recognized the girl at first since Trang wore some strange costume instead of her distinct Aodai. However, she still looked elegant and graceful, even somewhat classical-like. Greeting Trang with a bright smile, Lily began to feel her decision to come here was definitely a right one

Helena merely smiled at the nation in front of her.

"Indeed, I am. I'm glad to finally meet you, as well. And it's nice to know that someone keeps up with the myths I know of," she replied.

She then noticed Trang behind and smiled at the Asian girl. "Welcome, Trang. I'm glad you could make it. And don't worry, you're not late. Nice outfit, by the way, Trang," she said to Trang.
Helena then moved out of the way and opened the door wider for the two girls to enter her home.

"Please come in. We have quite a few people here and your company will be very much appreciated. I cannot wait to hear what myths will be told tonight and I certainly hope you feel the same way," the ancient Graecian said with a warm smile.

Yeosin watched as the newcomers were invited in. It seemed that Trang had opted to wear traditional Vietnamese clothing. Looking down, Yeosin wondered if she was wrong to have opted out of the more formal hanbok. Today, she had chosen a simple blue and gold hanbok and headdress. Ah, well, what's done is done.

"It is good to see you, Trang-nim. You must be Lily-nim. It is a pleasure to meet you," Yeosin bowed slightly in greeting.
