Feliciano's smile turned bashful, squirming a bit at the German's questions. In all honesty...the picture wasn't for homework at all. The Italian was supposed to be drawing a building for class; but, drawing so many straight lines was boring! Every time he would try to start the project, his mind would wander and he'd get nothing done. It was only chance that he would absent-mindedly let his hand work for itself, starting to sketch out a portrait without much thought. And, without even realizing it at first, Feliciano had started to draw his friend.
"Ve...but I like Ludwig as a model!" Ludwig was bold; strong lines, sharp angles, straight shoulders, keen eyes, almost like the buildings he was supposed to be drawing. But he was soft too, with gentle shades, rounded edges, a kind disposition. He was full of contradictions, and in Feliciano's opinion, a perfect model for art.
"You're just too modest! You're a good model! Ve, like...the statues of Rome!" He tossed one arm out wide, waving it to emphasis his point. "You have...that feel! Really really strong, but at the same time, soft! Like marble!" The Italian nodded eagerly and leaned in toward the German, mind spinning as he tried to explain himself. "Marble is stone, but it always looks soft! Ve, not that Ludwig doesn't look strong!" He flailed more desperately, stumbling over his words. "Ludwig looks really strong, but he's really nice too! That's why I like Ludwig!"
