Curiousity and nervousness both flashed through Katyusha's eyes and the corners of her mouth twitched upwards at his offer. She nodded in agreement, mentally preparing herself for the sudden chilliness they would enter. They started off, leaving the muted blaring music behind him and taking their time with every step.
She almost wished she had gloves with her; it was a lot cooler at night then in the daytime. But she chose to ignore the cold for now; her mind had now wrapped itself around Matthew's last statement. He was acting out of kindness and she knew he was trying to lighten things up; she DID feel her heart flutter at his familiar actions. Still, she would rather things return to normal - for now, at least - and be able to smile freely.
So, she walked with him. Close enough that she wasn't breaking any bounderies but still close enough for comfort. Her mind had also starting reeling again...
