Gupta, would you mind putting me up as the Red Queen? (Oh dear, I do believe I've made a Communist reference.)
I know that at first, characters from the second novel weren't supposed to be included, but looking at the list again, I see that many of them were, after all! I do hope this is not a problem, but please do tell me if it is.
Also, for anyone interested; I found a quote from Lewis Carroll himself that really made me think of how well the Queen of Hearts suited Belarus and The Red Queen for China.
"I pictured to myself the Queen of Hearts as a sort of embodiment of ungovernable passion - a blind and aimless Fury.
The Red Queen I pictured as a Fury, but of another type; her passion must be cold and calm - she must be formal and strict, yet not unkindly; pedantic to the 10th degree, the concentrated essence of all governesses!”
